Job title: Facilities Coordinator
Hours/Status: 20 hours/week /Exempt
Schedule: 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. M-F, occasional as-needed event support outside standard working hours
Pay range: $22.00- $24.00 per hour depending on experience
Reports to: Operations Director
Position Summary
The Facilities Coordinator is the lead for security and building maintenance. Ensuring all functions of Street Roots’ facility are optimally running including monitoring systems and vendor contracts agreements, and providing necessary maintenance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure that vendor agreements are in place for key equipment, systems and building maintenance. Vendors will include, but may not be limited to:
Elevator maintenance
HVAC maintenance
Fire Alarm
Fire Sprinklers/Fire Extinguishers
Double Check Valve Inspections
Solar panel maintenance
Janitorial
- Hire specific trades as necessary to make required repairs and keep the building
operating, such as plumbing, electrical, roof
Oversee security of building grounds managing Street Roots security system
Monitor the performance of vendor contracts and ensure compliance with vendor agreements
Schedule vendors as needed to complete routine, emergency, or other maintenance activities
Maintain ongoing communication with contract agreements, clients, team
Carry out specific maintenance activities for work not requiring specific vendor skills, including daily patrolling of building perimeter (including roof) for trash pickup, sidewalk clean up
Graffiti Removal
Cleaning and similar routine maintenance activities.
Monitor and order supplies as necessary
Respond and follow through on employee or vendor requests to ensure all equipment and systems are functioning safely and efficiently.
Monitor and respond to requests, correspondence, or notices from governmental entities with jurisdiction over systems or equipment.
Carry emergency pager/phone, responding to urgent maintenance requests
Monitor and revise/update Maintenance Plan as necessary
Assist the Operations Director as necessary to ensure all building equipment and systems are functioning safely and efficiently
Qualifications for Facilities Coordinator
- 2-5 years of experience in facilities maintenance or equivalent related functions
Knowledge of general maintenance methods, operating requirements, and safety precautions related to facilities management
Must be a well-organized, detail and customer (internal and external) oriented self-starter
Strong procurement and negotiation skills
